I have always used Classic Pectin when making my jams and chutneys, etc. It never disappoints, and can be absolutely relied on! It is a work horse in my canning kitchen!
I tried the jam/jelly maker the other day and was very impressed at how little time it took and the little mess I made. I would like to have more recipes and would also like to know if I can use the no/low sugar pectin and the liquid pectin since I have a diabetic in the family along w/ recipes that use the liquid.
I have only used my Automatic Jam and Jelly Maker once and was pleased with it's performance but wish I could have doubled the recipe. It only made 4 pints and it was too little a batch to can. I did boil my jars and lids and they did sealed but I don't trust that and would have liked to "cold pack" them but wouldn't do it for only 4 pints. Are you thinking about making a larger one? I think the price was a little high for what you get. The jam is delicious!!! Thank you!
I really can't respond on the price because I don't remember what I paid. I do know that it worked well and I like it!
